Governmental entities, 501(c)(3) organizations and developers will often times require the construction or acquisition of improvements in order to continue to provide necessary services to the public and/or their constituents. Often times these improvements cannot be paid for with immediate money available. Instead, governmental entities, 501(c)(3) organizations and developers will be required to seek assistance from state or federal programs to finance the costs of the improvements through the issuance of tax exempt or taxable obligations.

White Law Offices, PLLC has the experience necessary to assist you in any transaction involving Public Finance. We are able to serve as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, trustee’s counsel, issuer’s counsel and lender’s counsel in tax-exempt and taxable transactions involving governmental entities or 501(c)(3) entities. We also have the experience necessary to assist developers and governmental entities in economic development projects that would be eligible for state and federal assistance. We have experience in the establishment of Property Tax Increment Financing Districts, Sales Tax Increment Financing Districts and Community Enhancement Districts and have worked with the West Virginia Development Office, the West Virginia Economic Development Authority and the United States Development Authority to obtain assistance for economic development projects across West Virginia.
